Sossusvlei

Sossusvlei is a valley in the Namib desert which contains the famous Dune 45 as well as the Deadvlei at it's end, a pan with dead vegetation. Sossusvlei is full of apricot coloured sand dunes and is the source of many pictures of Namibia (including the one in the standard Windows background collection). Since I prefer my scenery with living things in it, it is not my favourite place
