Desert Lodge

The Namib Desert Lodge lies near an area of petrified dunes a bit north of Sossusvlei. It is a large and comfortable place; we used it as a waystation to the Namib and the Sossusvlei. The lodge offered a "sundowner" tour int the petrified dunes which basically means to drink a lot of Gin Tonic at sunset.
