The Etosha national park is a large fenced-in area (more than 22.000 km^2) around the so-called Etosha pan, a large salt basin. Gravel roads cross the park through different types of landscape (the map lists around 20), and there are three camps about 80km apart. The camps have bungalows, camp sites, restaurants, shops etc., and are fenced-in so that you can walk around safely, which you shouldn't do in the park.
