Sibuan

Sibuan is an island to the north of Semporna - about the same distance in the opposite direction to Mabul. This is a small uninspiring island which is used as a base by sea gypsies. It is also used by the local dive shops for training dives but it has a few interesting dive sites too. My flash broke during the time I was in the area, so I took the first pictures with the flash, but the later ones I had to take with available light. You can probably see the difference.
As the name indicates, there are mandarin fish in Mandarin Patch. It is usually the last dive site of the day.
Sibuan West is a shore dive site on Sibuan Island. It is used as a training site by the local diveshops but it has actually two attractions: frogfish and a pygmy seahorse. Unfortunately the pygmy seahorse is in deeper water which means you can't go there if there are beginners in your group. The second time I was there, my flash was already broken and I had to take the pictures with available light.
